Every year, IATSE publishes rules and policies connected with Financial Core Status in its Bulletin, which goes to all members. The latest version was in 2019's 1st Quarter Bulletin, available HERE, on p.107 (inside back cover). [As a convenience, you may view just that page HERE.]

As an employee at a B18-represented venue, you may be interested is such status. Please note that any member who elects, in writing, Financial Core Status is resigning from B18, and will have no rights of membership. He or she will not have the right to attend membership meetings, to have a voice in the Local's policies, to run for office with the Local, to vote in the Local's elections, or to participate in the formulation of bargaining proposals and ratification votes. However, as long as the person continues to pay Financial Core obligations to the union, he or she still retains employment rights.
